Recommended Posts

Hi

I work with VG for 3 years by dialogic boards and pstn network.

Now i want to run an IVR tour guide in one musem.

How can we setup a local wireless voip network?

Can you guide me what is the easyest way to do that?

Which softwares required?

Thx.

To setup a VoIP version of the IVR just install VoiceGuide v7 in VoIP mode. (install Dialogic HMP drivers etc).

And then dial into (or out of) VG over the network using IP addresses.

What will you use for handsets? Just wireless VoIP phones, or some special listen-only type device?

This sounds fine and would be a straightforward setup, with the handsets just dialing into the IP of the VoiceGuide server, and VoiceGuide starting a new script for any new connection.

You will just need to install HMP and apply the HMP 4 port evaluation license. Then install VoiceGuide v7 (select VoIP at install). You will then be able to immediately place calls into the system by dialing the IP address of VG server from any VoIP handset. There is no need to use any PBXs/Switches in this setup.

You can probably just pre-program one of the buttons to dial the system, or just use the redial button.

After you have confirmed system working as expected just purchase the appropriate number of HMP and VoiceGuide licenses.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.
