I face once issue highlight from my client. they request after for example, the vg speaks press 1 for order tracking, 2 for staff1, 3 for staff 2 (which transfer to a few paticular extension) as sometime the staff are busy so the line will finally come back to voice guide again is it possible that press 1 for order tracking, press 2 to speak ot CS officer, then return the line for every extension to be able pickup ? thanks very much Kevn Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 01/11/2008 02:37 AM Are you trying to determine which CS extensions are available, and then transfer the call to that extension? Easiest way to do this is to setup a 'hunt-group' within your PBX and then transfer the call to the hunt group's extension. A 'hunt-group' is a PBX feature which sends calls to an extension within the hunt group that is available. Only other way would be for VG to get information from the PBX as to which extensions are available though some sort of a CTI interface. Does your PBX have a CTI interface of some sort? Guest cargonet Report post Posted 01/11/2008 01:41 PM Dear Support Team In fact, the client wants 1. the small office (4 line) but have 8 extension phone set 2. currently we use vg to transfer only to one line per time 3. but they want: once caller press 2, then all extension can ring and be able pick up the call. It is just like a call coming in, all extension will ring, but VG will pickup the phone and connect the caller with voice messages, and if caller press 2, then all extension will ring again. In fact, I just want to know whether it is viable and can be achieved ? as I have less knowledge in the phone system myself. I guess in this on-hold status, the extension may not ring, but can show one-line is blinking.
