Transfered Call Problem

Recommended Posts

I have ben using 4.9 now for a while.

We have two issues that I need help resolving.

We have had a bad connect time, one that we have just been living with becasue we have been unable to spend the time to try and work on it. Our server went down last week, and when it came back up our Voice Guide wasn't working the same.

Bad coonect time: Whenever we call into voice guide, it takes 5 or so seconds after the end of the ring to run the script. I am not sure, but it maye be looking for and trying to generate the caller Id feild.

Also, when you dial the extention, it also takes 5 or so seconds before it connects. Hitting the # sign after dialing the exention helps speed up the process.

The second, and most critial issue is that now, when we dial in, after the script runs, and we dial the extention, it plays the "this is a transfered call. Press 1 to accept" ( We don't want the caller to hear this)

If you press 1, the call disconnects.

I have attached the log for you to look at.

Thanks

The trace attached in the previous message shows that the script is started immediately after the hardware reports ringing on the line :

52977 7 tapie callstate OFFERING 65763 0 4

52977 7 Start without answering the call

52977 7 [Main Greeting] Number Input

52987 7 lineAnswer(65763) => 65847

52987 7 tapie callinfo CALLEDID

52987 7 tapie callinfo ORIGIN

52987 7 tapie ring 0

53517 7 tapie callstate CONNECTED 65763,1,0

53517 7 WorkingModeTAPI=

53517 7 WorkingModeScript=BeforeAnswerRun

53537 7 tapi Reply 65847 0

53537 7 [Main Greeting] Number Input

53537 7 [Main Greeting] Playing (F:\PhoneSystem and Voicemail\VoiceGuide4.9\VoiceGuide\Scripts\Telecom 5 main.wav)

Maybe the hardware waits for the Caller ID to arrive before reporting the first ring - you'll need to look into the configuration of the modem/card used. Caller ID arrives between 1st and 2nd ring and some modems/cards will not report ringing until after the second ring...

Also, when you dial the extension, it also takes 5 or so seconds before it connects. Hitting the # sign after dialing the exention helps speed up the process.

Are your referring to transfers, outbound dialing or something else? Could you please post a copy of VoiceGuide's Debug Printout which illustrates both cases....

sounds like to hookflash length is set too short and the caller is not getting put on hold... you will need to increase the hookflash length (are you using a Dialoigc card?).
