Human Pleasant Voices

Is there any free share or commercial program that allows you to write what you want voiceguide to say and then the program will read the text or word document file and speak the reading.

The programs that were out there few years back were very robotic voices rather than pleasant human female voices.

What available programs would you recommend I can use.

I can record the voice from one of my employees, but then it becomes and issue of royalties when they leave and we

continue using their voices.

I would appreciate the advise.

Have you heard some of the latest TTS voices? See: http://www.voiceguide.com/vgDownload.htm and look at AT&T, Cepstral, or Nuance.

Never heard of this becoming an issue. If you are concerned about this just make them sign a form saying the recordings are royalty free etc.

I have used http://www.theivrvoice.com/ - Allison. I learned about her from the VoiceGuide site. She is excellent to work with and has great turn around time. I have also used other voice over artists for different languages but Allison is my favorite (she is also the voice of verizon and other companies).
