Limit Of 30 Modules Per Script

Recommended Posts

Dear Support Team,

1) Whilst developing scripts in Voice Guide, we came across a limit of 30 modules that are permitted.

Could you please advise.

2) Also, how could one script be configured to conditionally call another script please ?

Thanks and regards

Chris

This is the limit in the Evaluation versions of VoiceGuide v5 There is no such limit when the software is registered.

There is no 30 module limit in v6 and v7 Evaluation versions.

Please see the "Trial Version Limitations": http://www.voiceguide.com/vgFeatures.htm

Many thanks for your response.

Our production system runs on a machine with the registered version of VG.

For development we use the evaluation version to develop scripts on another machine.

What options are available to us please ?

Chris

If you are using v5 then you need to purchase a license to be able to use more then 30 modules.

The options are to purchase a v5 license or move to using v6 or v7 of VoiceGuide.

Can we develop a script with more than 30 modules on V5 evaluation version and thereafter run the developed script on a machine with the registered software (where over 30 modules would not be a problem) ?

Although warning messages are displayed when saving the script, the evaluation version seems to support the flowcharting symbol etc for more than 30 modules.

You'd need to confirm whether the unregistered v5 Script Designer can load and save scripts with more then 30 modules.

Theer: break your v5 script into 'subscripts' of 30 modules or less. The evaluation version supports calling subscripts (ie: enterprise features), so effectively you can create scripts with many modules, but you will need the registered version to be the 'enterprise' license to run them.
