Is It Possible To Spell The Name?

I would like to know before downloading and installing your software if it is possible to configure it so people can spell the name of the person they wish to talk to if they don't know the extension.

Yes - this is quite easily achieved.

 

Please see the attached script which after asking user to enter first 4 digits of a persons name it goes through the file of which on each line has a NAME,EXTENSION entry (see example below):

Carson,7745

Childs,8823

Dawsons,2324

Simon,5534

and if a match is found it then transfers the call to the extension specified after the comma.

 

You can of course easily modify the script to suit your own needs...

hi,

first tell me how do i type the first 4 characters of a persons name. From my handset to type 'carson' i have to use the keys '227766', which would also mean 'abrson', how this is resolved.

How it's resolved is pretty much up to you. Everyone has their own preference. most people like to have all the options played back in a list.

eg: "Press 1 for abrson or press 2 for carson..." This usually requires TTS or pre-recording of each persons name.
