Regestring Vg7.0 To Connect To Ip Pbx As Sip

Recommended Posts

Good Morning,

We have an IP PBX at our offices and connecting to it through X-Lite as our SIP client. We have also configured VG7.0 to connect to the PBX after installing the HMP v3.0, but the VG line monitor shows only one line "dxxxB1C2ipB1T2"

Her is the config.xml VoIP section:

- <VoIP_Registrations>

- <VoIP_Registration>

<Display>VGEXT</Display>

<Protocol>SIP</Protocol>

<RegServer1>192.168.1.4</RegServer1>

<RegServer>192.168.1.4</RegServer>

<RegClient>203</RegClient>

<LocalAlias>203</LocalAlias>

</VoIP_Registration>

</VoIP_Registrations>

- <VoIP_Authentications>

- <VoIP_Authentication>

<Display>VoiceGuideIVR</Display>

<Domain>192.168.1.4:5060</Domain>

<Username>Sip:203</Username>

<AuthUsername>203</AuthUsername>

<AuthPassword>203</AuthPassword>

</VoIP_Authentication>

</VoIP_Authentications>

The configuration at one of the x-lite SIP's is as follows:

- Display Name: Aziz

- User name: 200

- Password: 200

- Authorization username: 200

- Domain: 192.168.1.4

- Proxy: 192.168.1.4:5060

Is there anything else that I need to do so that I get VG to register with IP PBX?

Regards,

Abdulaziz

When you install HMP it by default installs in a single line mode.

You can install the 4 line evaluation license that is available form Dialogic site.

Ultimately you will need to purchase the HMP licenses for however many lines will be used on the HMP system.

To see how the registration proceeds we would need to see the WireShark trace capturing the SIP registrations.

Hi .. Can you please advise on the link to find the HMP licenses?

Another strange thing, I am connecting the VG to a test IP PBX [the same one mentioned in the previous email]. I have started the VG before starting the PBX, and after few minutes, the line monitor still shows the "dxxxB1C2ipB1T2" even though a SIP connection should not be available.

Any comments?

When you follow the HMP link (on the Downloads page, next to the link to VoiceGuide v7) on the Dialogic's page one of the entries will be a link to an Evaluation license.

The lines do not need to be registered with a PBX/Switch in order for them to be enabled. You can for example still place calls into system using the systems IP address. Many VoIP IVRs are accessed by direct IP routing.
