Digits Speaking - French V/s English

The English and French way of speaking digits are different. E.g. in English one would say One thousand and two hundred dollars, whereas in French it would be mille deux cents dollar (translated into 'one thousand two hundred dollars').

How can this french version be implemented?

Users can edit the way in which the numbers are spoken, or even add their own Say Number functions by editing the file: lib_num2wav.vbs located in VoiceGuide's \system\vbs\ subdirectory. This is useful if it is required to say numbers/amounts in a language other then English.

in v7 there is choice of using lib_num2wav.vbs or a DLL Source to DLL is also supplied in v7, so you can change it and recompile to change the functionality.

Here i made a new version of lib_num2wav.vbs in French. I post for the french users.

 

Voici la version francaise du script lib_num2wav.vbs.

Il faut re-enregistrer les chiffres et certains nombres.

Et les placer dans le dossier VoiceGuide/voice.

 

Le nom des fichiers doivent commencer par fr_

 

Voir le code dans lib_num2wav.vbs.

 

Renommer le fichier .txt en .vbs.
