Hi,

I have been approached by 3 businesses to setup a small call centre to allow them to grow there businesses. I am looking for a PBX, possibly IP-PBX system when I came accross these software PBX.

Functions I need.

ISDN - Direct in Dial Support.

Each business has a 1300 number forwarded to a local number. (within the ISDN extensions)

Each 1300 number needs to be answered with correct business greeting.(ie "welcome to company A" or "welcome to company B")

Calls need to be routed to the next available operator.

If operator is busy it needs to be placed on hold until one comes available.

How does it work?

Does each operator need a PC?

Are calls transfered via VoIP? If so, can it be accessed from outside he LAN?

Is there a software phone or a hardware phone?

Sorry to be long winded. Is your software suitable for me?

Cheers

Matt

You basically need a call queuing system... a basic call queuing system can be done with VoiceGuide - but it requires a fair bit of work to get it going and if you do not have experience in that area then I'd recommend just speaking to your PBX supplier to see what call queuing systems they offer.

VoiceGuide does not support VoIP at this stage.
