Maybe the lines plugged into the second card do not work? Have you tried changing the lines over form one card to the other?

When you use the new card by itself does it work?

Hello Support team,

Yes I have done this but I'm wondering if my boards are correctly connected. I mean I connected them together using a CT cable and I don't know there is something else to do. how can I make sure that the connection has been taken into account by the system?

sorry to come back with this..

After some tests I still have troubles. One question, once I have connected my 2 board together using the CT cable, how do I verify that they are effectivly seen as one single device? what should I see on DCM and on Vg line status panel? for now I see on the botton on my line status panel the two board identifiers. is this normal ?

Hi

I have tested every thing. Install; re-install dialogic drivers, VG, the two board and I still have the same probleme:

The 8 lines work properly during a few and then only on board is working. do you have any other idea of what could be the probleme?

So next week I will put two line on different servers again, in this case how can I manage to have 4 lines lincend on one server and 4 lines licened on another server knowing that I have a 8 lines license for now. Do I have to send to you my licence so that you could provide 2 seprates ones?

Thx

Is it the same card that has the problem again?

Suggest you place the problem card by itself in another server and check if it is working by itself or not.

I have just get another PC to do the test but prior I would like to know if there is something special to do on the BIOS on the PCI slots or whatever when plugging 2 boards on the same pc using CT-cable ?

Nothing special needs to be done with the BIOS.

Suggest you place the problem card by itself and check if it is working by itself or not.

Hi,

I have tested the board in another PC and works fine with the VG trial version.

In the mean time I have purchased a used D120JCT because I need to run 8 lines, it becomes urgent.

It seems that in my server, it is not possible to have 2 boards connected working properly so i 'm replacing the 2*4 lines by one single board

So is it possible to transform the 2 boards licences into 1 licence for My new D120JCT ?

PS I have also tried connecting the D/12O JCT with the currrent working board and the problem is the same.

Thank you

Mh

Maybe the cable that you were using to link the cards is faulty then? Having multiple cards in same server is fine and is a common configuration.

Please contact sales@VoiceGuide.com regarding any license related questions.

Please post traces (vgEngine end ktTel) which capture the system startup and the problems that you are experiencing.

ok will do that tomorrow and let you know.

In the meantime I have this question maybe I'm not having a correct config.xml file :

If I have a D/41JCT issued with the 8 lines licences, and addition to the board I have a D/120JCT connected to the first board using the cable, how should the config.xml file look like ? I mean the <channels> part ...

Thank you

Mh

I assume that you want to open all 8 lines on the D/120JCT card, yes?

If the D/120JCT is the first card in the system (set card order using the grey ID selector switches on the card) then the Channels would be have the normal 8 entries starting at dxxxB1C1.

If the D/120JCT is the second card in the system then the Channels would be starting at dxxxB2C1. ie. opening these devices: dxxxB2C1, dxxxB2C2, dxxxB2C3, dxxxB2C4, dxxxB3C1, dxxxB3C2, dxxxB3C3, dxxxB3C4

Saying that D/120JCT is the first does it mean that on the DCM it should be seen at the frist slot i.e. 0 vs 1 ?

Yes.

The ktTel trace capturing system startup would also let us confirm which card is seen as the 'first' card by the DCM.

Hi team,

here is the requested logs.

I have set the grey switch to "1" for the D/41JCT and "2" for the D/120JCT but on the DCM it seems that the order is not this one.

So in that configuration could you please tel me how the config.xml should look like.

Thank you for your help

by the way, if that could simplify i could use the first 4 lines from the D/41JCT and the 4 other lines from the D/120JCT if that help

Well,

Please consider this post.

Now I have set the D/120JCT to the first position and the D/41JCT to the second.

When making incoming call I have two lines rigining at the same time

Please find below the logs and the DCM screen shot.

I would be happy to solve that.

Thank

Mh

ktTel trace shows:

011825.390 4044 dxxxB1C1 id=0x6001, family=2, devmode=0, network=3(Analog), bus=6, encode=0

011825.421 4044 dxxxB2C1 id=0x4403, family=3, devmode=0, network=3(Analog), bus=6, encode=0

011825.437 4044 dxxxB3C1 id=0x4403, family=3, devmode=0, network=3(Analog), bus=6, encode=0

011825.484 4044 dxxxB4C1 id=0x4403, family=3, devmode=0, network=3(Analog), bus=6, encode=0

So looks like dxxxB1 is on the D/41JCT and the dxxxB2, dxxxB3, dxxxB4 are on the D/120JCT.

So to open the first 8 ports on the D/120JCT the <Channels> section of the Config.xml should look like this:

<Channel>

Suggect checking your wiring. You have most likely wired up one line to go to two Dialogic ports.

hi,

Thank you, does it explain somehow the outgoing calls are not set anymore ?

Here is the way I have wired the bords in attachement it is correct? is there any polarisation (+ / -) ?

Thank you

The wiring is not right.

The two wires of line 1 go to the two pins in the center (pins 3 and 4)

The two wires of line 2 go to the two pins on the either side of line 1's pins (ie. to pins 2 and 5)

(and on DMV160 the line 3 goes to the two outside pins (pins 1 and 6))

There is no polarization on analog telephone lines.

This is all explained in the D/120JCT installation pamphlet that should have come with the card.
