SupportTeam Report post Posted 04/14/2009 12:11 AM Trace shows that over the two hour period there were times when the email client could not connect to your SMTP server. To debug what is actually happening you would need to use WireShark to trace the SMTP messages themselves. 142056.41 0 eng prog start 14:20:56 13 Apr 142117.53 0 smtp SendFailed The attempt to connect timed out 142117.67 0 eng prog end 14:21:17 13 Apr 142401.34 0 eng prog start 14:24:01 13 Apr 142423.63 0 smtp SendFailed The network cannot be reached from this host at this time 142444.64 0 smtp SendFailed The attempt to connect timed out 142444.83 0 eng prog end 14:24:44 13 Apr 143002.06 0 eng prog start 14:30:02 13 Apr 143023.31 0 smtp SendFailed The network cannot be reached from this host at this time 143023.48 0 eng prog end 14:30:23 13 Apr 144000.25 0 eng prog start 14:40:00 13 Apr 144021.72 0 smtp SendFailed The network cannot be reached from this host at this time 144021.88 0 eng prog end 14:40:21 13 Apr 145001.33 0 eng prog start 14:50:01 13 Apr 145022.61 0 smtp SendFailed The network cannot be reached from this host at this time 145022.77 0 eng prog end 14:50:22 13 Apr 163811.64 0 eng prog start 16:38:11 13 Apr 163832.81 0 smtp SendFailed The network cannot be reached from this host at this time 163853.73 0 smtp SendFailed The network cannot be reached from this host at this time 163914.84 0 smtp SendFailed The network cannot be reached from this host at this time 163935.88 0 smtp SendFailed The network cannot be reached from this host at this time 163957.00 0 smtp SendFailed The network cannot be reached from this host at this time 164018.03 0 smtp SendFailed The network cannot be reached from this host at this time 164018.16 0 eng prog end 16:40:18 13 Apr 164046.13 0 eng prog start 16:40:46 13 Apr 164107.31 0 smtp SendFailed The network cannot be reached from this host at this time 164107.44 0 eng prog end 16:41:07 13 Apr 164718.27 0 eng prog start 16:47:18 13 Apr 165020.16 0 ERROR 6.0.8 mapiSend_SendSuccesful contents were REMOVED - reinstate them! 165041.94 0 smtp SendFailed The network cannot be reached from this host at this time 165103.80 0 smtp SendFailed The network cannot be reached from this host at this time 165124.81 0 smtp SendFailed The network cannot be reached from this host at this time 165145.94 0 smtp SendFailed The network cannot be reached from this host at this time 165206.97 0 smtp SendFailed The network cannot be reached from this host at this time 165228.09 0 smtp SendFailed The network cannot be reached from this host at this time 165249.11 0 smtp SendFailed The network cannot be reached from this host at this time 165249.23 0 eng prog end 16:52:49 13 Apr Share this post Link to post
Guest fsoudbakhsh Report post Posted 04/15/2009 07:57 PM Hello, I have tried WireShark, but I couldn't get any capture from my local network. anyway I asked myself my outlook can send and received email, so if I use the same SMTP port outlook uses, VG can also send email successfully. I did that, I have entered 587 for SMTP port ( I got this number out of my outlook email account property) and I could sent all my emails successfully via VG. Please note this port number works for my system very well, but I noted it won't work for others. try to google SMTP ports numbers. plug them into your VG email property and see result for everyone of them. good luck. Support team thanks for your advices. Share this post Link to post

OK, so looks like this was a configuration issue then. Thanks for letting us know that this issue is now resolved and how it was resolved. Share this post Link to post
