PinkySlayer Report post Posted 05/14/2009 01:35 PM Hi, I have VG7.0.9 working with a Dialogic D/120JCT-LS running under Windows 2008, connected to analogue extension lines of a Panasonic DBS68 with ISDN30 trunks. I realise that W2K8 isn't officially supported but as far as operating in voicemail operating mode, it works just fine. It reads in the inband extension number and diverts calls to the correct voice mailbox. However, other aspects of the system do not work... 1) Hookflash. I can't get the autoattendant to transfer a call. When I dial in manually using a digital keyphone and make a selection from the autoattendant menu, I hear my own digital phone make the tone, I then immediately hear the tone repeated by the phone system but then it goes straight to disconnect/busy tone. I have tried changing the hookflash setting in the config file from 10 to 50 to 100 to 200 to 300 but (after restarting the service) with the same result. The Panasonic system allows the extension time break recall time to be adjusted but the default is listed as "less than 20ms, 75-150ms, over 200ms" - I don't know why it lists 3 ranges for each option - does that make any sense? Based on instructions that I found elsewhere, I change this to "less than 20ms, 200-1500ms, over 200ms" but still no luck. 2) Message Lamps. I have set the message lamp option to use port 4 (a fixed port is required by the DBS) and used various key combinations but none activate the message lamps. I have tried ",*4,", "*4," and "75 EXT *" (the latter being the manual method using an analogue phone). 3) TTS. TTS results in silence. However, the server has no sound card installed - is this necessary? I have included everything I think you will need in the attachment and I look forward to receiving your comments in due course. Thanks in advance, Ged P. files.zip Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 05/14/2009 09:14 PM Probably best to set the PBXs hookflash settings to their factory defaults, and adjust the hookflash time issued by VoiceGuide using the option in the Config.xml file (you will need to restart VoiceGuide after making changes in Config.xml to let VoiceGuide read in the new settings). If you can hear VoiceGuide playing DTMF tones when making the transfer then it means that the hookflash issued by the Dialogic card is too short and you need to increase the value of the setting in the Config.xml What DTMF tone sequence does your PBX use to turn message lamps on/off? Do you have a manual for the PBX that specifies this that you can post here? TTS results in silence. However, the server has no sound card installed - is this necessary? SAPI usually required that a sound card is installed. Are you able to generate WAV fles using the demo programs installed by SAPI? Share this post Link to post
PinkySlayer Report post Posted 05/15/2009 07:38 AM Thanks for your reply. 1) As I mentioned above, I tried hookflash settings of between 100ms and 3000ms when the pbx was set to defaults, and again when I changed to the alternate settings. 2) From an analogue phone, I would dial 75+EXT+* to set message waiting and then 75+EXT+# to clear it. 3). No, the test app results in an error. I will try installing a sound card. I have purchased a couple of ATT voices (from www.deskshare.com/provoices.aspx) - can they be used with VG? Both of the above (1 & 2) work normally from an analogue phone but not from VG. I am wondering whether they result from the same problem, that somehow VG can't make outgoing calls (although I can make the calls from the pbx extensions used by VG). Could it be something to do with Windows 2008? Also, I didn't use the Dialigic drivers from the VG web site as I already had them - does that matter? Cheers, Ged. Share this post Link to post

What results did you get when the hookflash was set at 100ms and at 1000ms ? Can you post traces capturing the time when VoiceGuide issues the hookflash commands? The sound card is a SAPI requirement, not VoiceGuide's. I think pretty much any sound card is fine. Could it be something to do with Windows 2008? Quite possibly. Also, I didn't use the Dialigic drivers from the VG web site as I already had them - does that matter? Yes. It does. You must use the drivers provided from our website. Share this post Link to post
PinkySlayer Report post Posted 05/15/2009 10:05 AM Can I install your SR6 over my existing SR6 or would I need to uninstall first? Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 05/15/2009 11:30 AM Recommend to uninstall first, then restart and then install new drivers. Share this post Link to post
