Hi,

 

I am using VoiceGuide 7. Have installed the microsoft speech sdk 5.1.

If i want to change the voice to Microsoft Mary or some other, what value do i type in the vg.ini?

 

I have not changed the vg.ini at all to begin with.

I did read the following link but i am not able to figure out what do I change to accomplish what i want.

Have you installed other TTS engines on this system? Which ones?

 

Please post the most recent ktTts log file from VoiceGuide's \log\ subdirectory.

No i don't think there is any other TTS in the system.

I just want to change the voice from the default voice to some other. I would like to know how?

In VG.INI please set:

TTSEngine=Microsoft Mary

 

Then restart VoiceGuide service.

 

If you still have problems please post a copy of VoiceGuide's Trace Logs which captures the call, this will allow us to see what happened.

 

Trace files will be created in VG's \log\ subdirectory.

 

Please post the traces and the VoiceGuide script used.

 

When posting traces/scripts please .ZIP them up and post them as attachments.

Thanks a lot for you help, I was able to change the voice.

 

Are there any other TTS engines that you would recommend which can be used?
