lesccseh Report post Posted 07/23/2009 12:05 AM I downloaded sox in order to convert the .wav files that vg creates when recording to mp3, but is saying that it cannot find the lame encoder library (libmp3lame). I do have a licensed copy of lame, but under the names lame.exe and lame_enc.dll. A search did not yield anything resembling "libmp3lame". Any suggestions? Thanks, Les Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 07/23/2009 12:44 AM This is not really a VoiceGuide related question. SOX does need to use libmp3lame for any MP3 work. A search on Google for: sox libmp3lame Should bring up a number of hits. You may need a programmer to get this working though. You could try just using the lame program directly. see: http://lame.sourceforge.net/ Not sure if Lame works with ULaw/ALaw input though. Again you may need to some programming work to get this done. Please post if you get stuck. Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 07/23/2009 12:46 AM I assume that you are converting to .MP3 for the purposes of emailing the sound files? Cant the recipients of the emails play the original .WAV recordings? Share this post Link to post
lesccseh Report post Posted 07/23/2009 11:14 AM Unfortunately lame does not recognize the ulaw format wav files. And wav files are far too large for the application. Am looking into getting the lame mp3 support compiled into sox. thanks, les Share this post Link to post
