rmatosaw Report post Posted 07/31/2009 12:58 AM Hi How can I configure script on VoiceGuide to ? - receive an ID (a number dialed by the caller) - receive a fax message - generate a Tiff file using the ID as the file name. Thanks Rafael Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 07/31/2009 01:33 AM Please see attached script. The first module asks caller to enter the number. Once number is entered the next module starts Fax Rx, with the filename of the created fax using the number just entered by caller. rmatosaw Report post Posted 08/07/2009 09:39 PM Thanks ! We are installing a D/120JCT card now ! Is there any other recommendation to start this fax service ? Thanks Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 08/07/2009 09:46 PM Note that with D/120JCT only 4 of the ports can be used for fax. On cards manufactured after 2001: "with spfax.fwl firmware, the D/120JCT-LS has the capability of using 4 fax resources. Two can be used in the first 8 channels, and 2 more can be used in the last 4 channels. It doesn't matter which 2 in either group, but only two at a time in each group can be used as fax resources." SupportTeam Report post Posted 08/13/2009 09:36 AM Looks like there was an issue with the fax OCR. The link below points to a version where Fax OCR is disabled so the fax receive should not longer hang. The OCR disabling is to provide a quick fix, we will look into this issues and resolve it so future releases perform automatic OCR on the fax. Please update system to version below. Please note that the system configuration files are now stored in \conf\ subdirectory (not \Config\).[old link removed] Share this post Link to post
rmatosaw Report post Posted 08/13/2009 12:23 PM Ok, thanks. I installed this version, changed de config.xml in \conf directory, but when I try to start the service an error occurs. When I stat the line status the lines not appear. Is anything missing ? Attached the logs, configs and error messages. Thanks ! 7.1.0_service_start_error.zip Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 08/13/2009 12:32 PM It looks like there is a DLL mismatch, with a DLL from the older version present on system. Were some VoiceGuide .EXEs running when the new install was done? Try uninstalling the current version and make sure all .EXEs and .DLLs in VoiceGuide directory are removed, and then try installing again. Share this post Link to post

rmatosaw Report post Posted 11/13/2009 05:55 PM Hi guys, We are installing a new server of Fax IVR. Out version downloaded from de link above (VoiceGuide_7.1.0_090813.exe) is corrupted. But the link above is offline now. The version 7.1.0 downloaded in your site has the problem of OCR just solved (or disabled) ? Thanks ! Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 11/14/2009 02:03 AM Please download using the the main v7.1.0. That fix is now in the version pointed to by the main download link. Not sure if the Fax OCR has been re-enabled as well in the current main download. If it is not then we will advise a new download link on Monday to the version that has this re-enabled, as the OCR hang issue has been resolved. Share this post Link to post

rmatosaw Report post Posted 11/20/2009 01:26 AM Obs: I noted the last log lines refer to ocr. It appears to be the same error we had some months ago. Opportunity that was generated with a version of the OCR disabled. Thanks Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 11/20/2009 06:58 AM Trace shows that incoming call was answered and eventually a Fax reception was initiated and a fax was received. Received fax was then converted to PDF (C:\faxrecebido\BV_777779999_091119180224.pdf), but when the attempt was made to perform OCR, the OCR blocked in the init stage. I suspect you may not have the file tessnet2_32.dll present in the VoiceGuide directory. Please confirm whether this is the case. We will verify which OCR DLL files have been included in the latest distributions and perhaps make the automatic OCR option selectable using VG.INI and/or using an in-script variable, so user has per-fax control over when this complex and time consuming OCR task is carried out. Should have a new version available for you early next week. 180224.158 6 23 12 state [RxFax] Receiving Fax C:\faxrecebido\BV_777779999_091119180224.tif 180224.158 6 23 12 ReceiveFaxStart ktTel_Fax_Rx_Start_Enqueue call [C:\faxrecebido\BV_777779999_091119180224.tif] 180224.158 6 23 12 qTel add cmd_Fax_Rx_Start [0,0,0,0,0][C:\faxrecebido\BV_777779999_091119180224.tif||||] 180224.158 6 23 12 t timer set 3600 sec : EV_TIMEOUT_HANGUP 180224.158 7 23 12 qTel run cmd_Fax_Rx_Start ... 180257.830 18 23 12 ev Dialogic 162,TFX_FAXRECV, crn=10000001, 1,98,1728,C:\faxrecebido\BV_777779999_091119180224.tif,, 180257.830 18 23 12 fax TFX_FAXRECV handler 180257.830 18 23 12 qScr add evScriptEvent 162 TFX_FAXRECV 180257.830 6 23 12 qScr run evScriptEvent sCode=[TFX_FAXRECV] iActionID=0, crn=0[1|98|1728|0|0][C:\faxrecebido\BV_777779999_091119180224.tif|||||] 180257.830 6 23 12 scriptevent TFX_FAXRECV param1:C:\faxrecebido\BV_777779999_091119180224.tif, param2:, param3: 180257.830 6 23 12 LsFaxRx TFX_FAXRECV 1 C:\faxrecebido\BV_777779999_091119180224.tif 180257.830 6 23 12 rv add [RxFax]{C:\faxrecebido\BV_777779999_091119180224.tif} 180257.830 6 23 12 rv add [RxFax_fax]{C:\faxrecebido\BV_777779999_091119180224.tif} 180257.830 6 23 12 fax pdf calling Tif2Pdf_Start C:\faxrecebido\BV_777779999_091119180224.tif => C:\faxrecebido\BV_777779999_091119180224.pdf 180257.830 6 23 12 fax Tif2Pdf_Start begin 180257.830 6 fax pdf Tif2Pdf_ThreadContainer constr sFnameTiff_In=C:\faxrecebido\BV_777779999_091119180224.tif, sFnamePdf_In=C:\faxrecebido\BV_777779999_091119180224.pdf 180257.830 6 23 12 fax Tif2Pdf_Start end 180257.830 6 23 12 fax ocr calling TifOCR_Start C:\faxrecebido\BV_777779999_091119180224.tif 180257.830 6 23 12 fax TifOCR_Start begin 180257.830 6 fax Tif2Pdf_ThreadContainer constr sFnameTiff_In=C:\faxrecebido\BV_777779999_091119180224.tif 180257.845 21 23 12 fax pdf Tif2Pdf_ThreadContainer.Run begin 180257.845 21 23 12 fax pdf Process FileName=[C:\Program Files\VoiceGuide\tif2pdf.exe], Arguments=["C:\faxrecebido\BV_777779999_091119180224.tif" "C:\faxrecebido\BV_777779999_091119180224.pdf"] 180257.845 6 23 12 fax ocr TifOcr_Start end 180257.845 6 23 12 fax bar Barcode Scan not included in this version 180257.845 6 23 12 path {TFX_FAXRECV} not found 180257.861 21 23 12 fax pdf Tif2Pdf_ThreadContainer.Run end: Opended Image! Sounds like it maybe best for you to uninstall the current version of VG and to make sure it is really uninstalled then then delete VoiceGuide sudirectory altogether. SupportTeam Report post Posted 11/24/2009 06:08 AM Please update your system with this version of VoiceGuide v7:[old link removed]This version by default has OCR disabled unless it is enabled by adding the below to VG.INI:[Fax]ocr=1We have been able to reproduce on one of our test system here the error that you have encountered with the OCR in the previous version (OCR worked fine on most of out test systems). It looks like on the system that has OCR problems the module that is doing the OCR cannot find one of the pre-requisite DLLs and this is causing the issue. We will look into this a bit further to determine why this error is happening. The DLL is on system it's just that Windows is not finding it. Will advise when we have a resolution for this available, an in the meantime please use the above version that has OCR in it disabled by default. Share this post Link to post
rmatosaw Report post Posted 11/24/2009 09:47 AM Hi, Ok ! The service is now running ! I attached the log for your check. I was thinking the only "difference" in this case with a normal installation, I do not know if it affects the operation of the OCR, is the fact that the service VoiceGuide be running with a Network User and not the local system. This is necessary because the script calls an executable that needs permissions on the network. Thanks for yout attention. log_service_is_ok.zip Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 11/24/2009 11:50 AM Trace shows the fax was received and saved as both .tif and .pdf, and the script and 'after hangup' script ran afterwards with no apparent problems. Would suggest editing the ConfigLine.xml file to change the FAX tone definition to make it less likely to be falsely detected. We will still look into resolving the OCR pre-requisite DLL issue that we have reproduced on one of our test servers and will advise in this thread when this is fixed. 072843.579 6 23 12 fax ocr not started as ini_Fax_OCR = 0 Share this post Link to post
