New To Ivr Solution.

Recommended Posts

Dear sir,

We are new to IVR Solution. We are the software solution provider.for One of our clients we wanted the IVR Solution. we need to integrate IVR solution in our dot net web application.

From you we want detail description about hardware software requirement. how the integration will be done with our dot net web application? How we catch the user inputs(user pressed telephone buttons) in our dot net web application, on that inputs (user pressed telephone buttons) we want to take some actions like get data from database and send SMS or FAX to the contacted user or save the user inputs in database.

Could you please send the details information?.

Regards.

How many simultaneous callers would you like your system to handle? This will determine the telephone lines and hardware required.

Small systems can use the 'normal' analog telephone lines, attached to analog Dialogic cards. Larger systems need to use T1/E1 ISDN trunks.

To update database data Do you actually want for the IVR to effectively do a HTTP 'Post' to your web site? Or do you just want to update the database directly?

VoiceGuide can just write to the database directly. Have you read: http://www.voiceguide.com/vghelp/source/html/moddbquery.htm ?

Its probably best for you to just install VoiceGuide on your system (use the VoIP install if you do not want to purchase hardware at this stage) and then you can just dial into the system using any VoIP phone/softphone - and start creating your own IVR scripts.

If you want to send out faxes then VoIP is not the best choice. You will need to use a physical card with telephone lines attached. Please see: http://www.voiceguide.com/suppRecomHardware.htm - would recommend getting the 4 port D/4PCIUF card to start off with.

For SMS sending most telcos use Email->SMS gateways, so you just need to to send an Email to their gateway (or to an aggregator gateway). Email sending from VG Script is again quite straightforward. Please see: http://www.voiceguide.com/vghelp/source/html/modsendemail.htm

Please post here is you have any further questions.

Hello Sir,

1. Small systems can use the 'normal' analog telephone lines, attached to analog Dialogic cards. Larger systems need to use T1/E1 ISDN trunks.

Ashok : how to differential small system and Larger system like no of caller or what?

2. To update database data Do you actually want for the IVR to effectively do a HTTP 'Post' to your web site? Or do you just want to update the database directly?

Ashok : we want to take some actions against caller keys pressed.it may be like if caller press 9 then his present status will be updated in our database and do some more actions in our system against that keys.

I do not want to send faxes from the voiceguide for that we have different software.

we can send faxes or sms against user keys through our dot net web application.

can we send faxes/sms also from voiceguide?

Please help.

Thanks for the information.

Ashok.

Yes. The number of simultaneous callers that the system needs to handle.

Yes. This is very straightforward. You would just issue a SQL query to the database to perform the action that you require.

can we send faxes/sms also from voiceguide?

Yes. VoiceGudie can send and receive faxes.

SMS sending is usually done though Emil->SMS gateways, and VocieGuide can send emails.

If you want you can also attach a mobile phone to the computer and send SMSs that way, using VoiceGuide's "Run Program" module to call the utility that can send SMS via attached phone.

Can you please suggest the hardware and software requirement for the following volume of IVRS, earlier you wrote that you do not have unified solutions.

We are developing a software application for one of our clients in Cincinnati, Ohio and would like to integrate an IVR system & FAX server with the .NET based web application and trigger actions in the application based on IVR inputs.

We came across your website while searching for the service providers. We are looking out for information and quotes on the Hosted as well as on-premise solutions.

The concurrent no of calls at peak for IVR will be around 400.

The concurrent no of pages sent/received at peak for FAX will be around 150 pages per minute.

We would also like to know your recommendation on a best suitable solution for this volume.

Can you please provide us information & quotes based on this data?

You can also get in touch with our US colleague in case you have any questions.

earlier you wrote that you do not have unified solutions.

I think you are mixing VoiceGuide up with some other application. VoiceGuide supports functionality that unified solutoins provide.

The concurrent no of calls at peak for IVR will be around 400.

To handle 400 calls simultaneously you would need to have equivalent of about 18 T1 ISND trunks, or a high bandwith VoIP connection at a Telco data center. Is the Fax Tx/Rx done at the same time in addition to the 400 simultaneous calls? Is the fax peak at the same time as the IVR peak?

Please contact sales@VoiceGuide.com to obtain a quote on both on-premise and hosted solutions.
