Guest TKoss Report post Posted 07/08/2010 06:18 PM Hi -- I recently downloaded the evaluation version of Voice guide to test replacement of our version 5.2 installation. The new installation uses VoIP and HMP. I am using the same script that works perfectly in 5.2. When I test the script and I get to the module that says entered numbers back; the numbers sound distorted. I have attached the trace.0708_1358_vgEngine.zip Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 07/08/2010 11:31 PM Please see: http://www.voiceguide.com/vghelp/source/html/soundfiles.htm The sound files that came with VoiceGuide v7 are in ULaw format (or ALaw). The sound files which are concatenated together need to be in the same format - so the sound files that are played immediately before or after the numbers in the 'Say Numbers' module need to be in ULaw format. Guest TKoss Report post Posted 07/09/2010 02:57 AM Ok So if I understand correctly... the .wav files that we recorded are in a different format(Ulaw/Alaw) from the ones that were installed when I installed voice guide and selected the format(Ulaw). so in order to correct this I should remove and reinstall voice guide and select the Alaw format? Or is there something else i need to do also? Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 07/09/2010 09:24 AM Your sound files that you use in Say Number module(s) need to be recorded in ULaw. No need to reinstall VoiceGuide. Share this post Link to post
