Vg Call Transfer Sometime Works, Sometime Not Transfered To Extension

This is a new VG installation

 

1. Initial Setup and test, can not trigger call transfer, then after change the frequency, works, can hear the transfer tone/music

2. then after usage realize that sometime the target extension can ring, sometime even we hear the tone/music, that extension not ring

 

So my question

- Any other setting need to adjust ?

- How to / possible achieve this, if the extension not ring, it repeat trying transfer again for 2-3 times ?

If this is a new installation then we would recommend using VoiceGuide v7, not the older v6.

 

If you are having problems doing the hookflash transfer then you should adjust the hookflash length. Please see: http://www.voiceguide.com/vghelp/source/html/config_calltransfers.htm

You would need to use monitored/announced transfer and upon those modules returning a Fail result (transfer not accepted) then take caller to another module (usually a Play module), and eventually go the Transfer module again. You can setup a loop (you will need to keep count of transfer attempts) or just setup a chain of Play and Transfer modules.

Two question,

 

- to take your first suggestion, as we just purchase the license v6 within 30 days, can we free upgrade to v7? will it take place automatically or

any process, and if V7 is not as good as V6 can we rollback ? what is your suggestion again ?

 

- we purchase for another company 2 year before which is VG v6, can they enjoy upgrade to v7 free or with a fee? these 2 company are sister company.
