iTime Report post Posted 08/11/2010 06:50 PM Dear Support team, I have specific compatibility questions for VoIP. One of our customers-to-be has Cisco VoIP Avvid 7.1.3 system and I would like to know if Voiceguide v7 will run on it. If so, do I just install VoiceGuide v7 and Dialogic HMP without any telephony card? And how would I configure so that Voiceguide and Cisco VoIP can communicate? I also have a question regarding your licensing: I assume I do not need any Dialog telephony card to work with VoIP. If this is the case, how do we buy your licenses for VoIP? We usually paid based on the numbers of the physical ports VG runs. This is my first time to deal with VoIP system and any tips for beginners is welcome too... Thanks for your help! SupportTeam Report post Posted 08/11/2010 08:48 PM If the Cisco is setup in SIP mode then there would be no problems. If in H.323 then we would recommend doing a verification setup first. do I just install VoiceGuide v7 and Dialogic HMP without any telephony card? Yes. how would I configure so that Voiceguide and Cisco VoIP can communicate? Please see: http://www.voiceguide.com/vghelp/source/html/config_voip_register.htm I do not need any Dialog telephony card to work with VoIP. Correct. how do we buy your licenses for VoIP? For HMP license purchases please contact sales@voiceguide.com HMP is licensed per concurrent call as well. Share this post Link to post
iTime Report post Posted 08/11/2010 09:58 PM Thanks for your detailed answer. One more question is: If in H.323 then we would recommend doing a verification setup first. What do you mean by Verification Setup? Could you elaborate? Thanks a lot. Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 08/12/2010 12:39 AM What do you mean by Verification Setup? Could you elaborate? Install the evaluation versions of HMP and VoiceGuide v7 first and confirm it all works as expected in the H.323 environment before buying the licenses. Share this post Link to post
