Mimimise Record Length

Hi there,

 

I am moving/ftp my recorded sound files to a Website.

Are there any tricks or methods I can absolutley minimise file size of the recorded message?

 

I recognise I should detect hang up as soon as possible - (which Doesnt currently work that well)....

 

any others?

You could try converting them to .mp4 etc. before uploading.

Would you suggest I do something like use the VB script module to run a conversion program on the .wav to turn it into an MP3/4?

Probably do the conversion from the same script that is moving the files to your web server. Or you can modify VoiceGuide's \System\vm\vm_ftp.vbs script if you have just selected to FTP the voicemail messages.
