Guest Adam Report post Posted 10/10/2003 08:49 AM Hi I have been completely unable to get VoiceGuide working with any modems. I have tried 4 modems so far and all have had the same problem in the event log: 181614.39 0 lineOpen(0) => 0 181614.39 0 Waiting for a call... 181614.40 0 lineOpen(0)LineHandle=66082 181628.63 0 callstate OFFERING 66047 0 4 181628.64 0 ring 1 181634.58 0 ring 2 181634.59 0 Answer the call at 10/10/2003 6:16:34 PM 181634.61 0 lineAnswer(66047) => 66030 181634.63 0 callstate ACCEPTED 66047 0 0 181635.37 0 tapi Reply 66030 0 181635.39 0 callstate CONNECTED 66047,0,0 181635.41 0 WorkingModeTAPI= 181635.43 0 WorkingModeScript= 181635.45 0 Inband detection not enabled 181635.47 0 StartLoadedVgs at 10/10/2003 6:16:35 PM 181635.48 0 [Get Client ID] Number Input 181635.50 0 [Get Client ID] Playing (PayGetId.wav) 181635.53 0 PlaySoundStart err=[0 play PlaySoundStart ResetWavOutAndContinuePlay=>4] file[C:\Program Files\VoiceGuide\Scripts\Credit Card Payment\PayGetId.wav] 181635.55 0 PlaySoundStart line[0] err=[0 tr 5 waveOutOpen MMSYSERR_ALLOCATED but hWaveOut = NULL] [C:\Program Files\VoiceGuide\system\voice\ErrorPlayingFile.wav] 181635.57 0 Hanging up call... Guest Adam Report post Posted 10/10/2003 11:49 AM Just wanted to add, this is under Windows XP, with the following modems: Dynalink 56VQE (or similar.. dont' know exact model number) D-Link DFM-560E D-Link DFM-560E+ Another generic brand... all are Voice capable and install a driver called "Uni-modem half duplex" or something similar. Have tried under both the latest versions of VG from the website. Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 10/11/2003 05:13 AM This error is usually returned when some other program is using the modem's Wave device... if there are not other programs using the modem at the same time then I'm not sure what could be casing the problem... As it is the modem's wave drivers which are the returning the error the only thing I can suggest is to try re-installing them ... - although I'm not too sure if this will resolve the issue on this system... : Try removing all the wave drives on your system (including any sound card drivers) and then re-installing the wave drivers for your telephony device first. To remove other wave drivers got to Control Panel, double clock on System, select the Device Manager tab and go to Sound/Video/Game Controllers entry - then delete all other wave drivers. You may have to disable the sound card altogether as well to stop Windows from automatically loading it's drivers - to do this just select "Disable" and then select "Uninstall" from the Device Manager. Guest Adam Report post Posted 10/13/2003 12:40 AM The only possibility I have been able to come up with so far is that all the drivers I have installed for these modems are not WinXP certified. However, I think the modem voice driver is the stock one that comes with Windows XP. I also intermittently get another error MMSYSERR_NODRIVER or something similar. However, this happens when a driver is clearly installed. Adam Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 10/13/2003 01:14 AM ... not much else we can suggest at this stage short of trying other modems, or switching to Win2000... Share this post Link to post
Guest Adam Report post Posted 10/14/2003 12:15 AM To alleviate the problem I've gone ahead and purchased a Dialogic D/4 PCI card from Bottom Line Telecommunications in the US. I am just wondering, will this card work in Australia, out of the box with all features? Adam Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 10/14/2003 01:22 AM Yes, it will. You will need to use it on Win2000 SP2, with Dialogic's SR5.1.1 drivers. A driver CD should be shipped with the cards. Dialogic's SR5.1.1 drivers can also be downloaded from: http://resource.intel.com/telecom/support/...Sr511/index.htm (300MB) Install instructions are in VoiceGuide Help file. (online version: http://www.voiceguide.com/vghelp/html/Inst...allDialogic.htm ) Share this post Link to post
