Guest Guest_Chris Report post Posted 10/17/2003 04:33 PM I'm looking at VG as a possible solution to the following scenario: Small main office with 2-3 phone lines. One individual at (very) remote location. I'm looking for something that will allow us to get a person calling in to provide us with some info (customer ID) and if that ID is valid, try to transfer the call. The first person to recieve the call would be the remote individual. If that person is unavailable then it should go to a voicemail box. Is something like this possible? Idealy the connection to the remote individual would be voip. Also, what fax software can VG to handoffs to? Thanks Chris Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 10/18/2003 01:42 AM You should ask your phone company to enable a "Centrex" service or similar on your line - this will allow VoiceGuide to transfer the call to the remote individual’s telephone by using an Announced Transfer. If the transfer is not accepted then the call can be sent by VoiceGuide to a voicemail box. Also, what fax software can VG to handoffs to? Apparently SmartFax from www.ringcentral.com can accept handed of fax calls - but we have not tested this ourselves. Share this post Link to post
