SupportTeam Report post Posted 10/18/2003 01:25 AM VoiceGuide enables pulse tone detection on Dialogic cards - but the card itself has to have the Dial Pulse Detection (DPD) enabled on board. Setting "Dial Pulse Detection" to "DPD_GENERIC" is not enough.. a separate activation kit needs to be purchased from Intel/Dialogic as well. The kit used to be priced around US$100/port. The local Intel/Dialogic distributor needs to be contacted regarding obtaining that kit. And before purchasing the kit you should do this: Now even if you do that, you might experience aspects related to the CO network, so a first test before doing anything is to make an inbound call, and start recording, while you dial some digits in pulse to see if they really comes into your channel, you can analyze the recording using a sound editor, to see if the patterns are right, because in some cases, depending form where the call is originated, you might not receive the whole sequence, so your investment might worth nothing because of CO side. We've asked once the CO guys, why pulse digits are cut off in engaged calls, and they said, something of some active filters to eliminate static and glitches, so as you can see it doesn't worth even the effort to work on this side.
