Guest dadozach Report post Posted 03/20/2011 05:44 PM I just broadcast my first outbound call. The sound file played very slowly for the recipient. I read through your support forum and found an entry that said how I recorded and saved the outbound message effects how it is heard. The support answer was to record and save it in A-Law format. I generally record my sound files using Sony Sound Forge which gives me many formats to choose from, none of which are A-LAW (see attached). I do not see where to record inside of the VoiceGuide software other than recording end-user responses or conversations. Please advise. Thank you, Scott Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 03/20/2011 07:35 PM It's recommended that sound files used are in ALaw or ULaw, as that will result in that exact waveform being transmitted over the telephone line. You can however use WAV PCM 8kHz or 11kHz as well. It will be then converted before transmission on the Dialogic card. You can also search web for 'Convert to ALAW' to get some links to conversion programs. Share this post Link to post
