Guest Jegede Report post Posted 02/18/2003 02:39 PM Can I link this IVR with Mind CTI? When customers dial the IVR PC, the IVR should ask the customer for authentication which can be verify from Mind CTI. If it is true, the IVR should then libk the customer to xpgk gatekeeper/proxy server. Please I need assistance on this. Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 02/19/2003 01:38 AM I'm not familiar with Mind CTI. If Mind CTI has an ODBC compliant database you should look at the DB Query module. Otherwise take a look at the Run Program or Run VBScript modules which you can use to fire off your own routines to perform the verification Share this post Link to post
Guest Jegede Report post Posted 02/23/2003 01:34 PM thanks for your reply. But it appears you did not get me right. Okay, let me know if this IVR is radius compliant, then I can see if I can apply it. I am not using dialogic board but my gateway is radius compliant and I want it to work with this IVR. Please help. Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 02/24/2003 06:49 AM Do you mean RADIUS as in "Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service" ? Does "Mind CTI" (telecom billing, accounting and management software) provide ODBC access to its users database? It would be easier to validate users using database SQL queries then via RADIUS. SupportTeam Report post Posted 02/26/2003 03:47 AM I've had some more advice about RADIUS... RADIUS interface is not built into VoiceGuide, and would need to be sourced from somewhere else. There are scripts and applications which do this available, and you can find links to them on Google... The RADIUS interfacing applet could then be called using the Run Program or Run VBScript module... So... : VoiceGuide can ask the caller for the caller’s account number, PIN, and any other data required for the login. The numbers that the caller enters can then be transmitted in RADIUS format over the IP network to the RADIUS/billing server. The server can then use that input to identify the customer, verify their identity using the PIN code, check the account status, and send back messages in RADIUS format telling the enquiring application whether or not to proceed with the call. What is RADIUS: RADIUS: The RADIUS (Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service) protocol is an industry standard that is widely used by billing and other management applications to control network access. This process is often referred to as authentication, authorization and accounting (AAA). RADIUS provides standardized message formats for transmitting and receiving keypad input, account data, authorization codes and other information between access gateways (such as the VoiceGuide) and billing servers.
