Guest devguy Report post Posted 10/24/2003 11:17 PM How can you change the default 4-digit mailbox ID to more or less digits (i.e. 3-digit in our case) removing the need for a lengthy timeout or "#" press? Scenario: we have used 3-digit extensions for quite sometime & are considering moving to different auto-attendant/vmail software (yours!) however, the default is for 4-digit and no visible means of changing it (we don't want customers having to wait for 4-5 seconds or press # -- as they never have had to before). Thanks. Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 10/25/2003 02:28 AM You just need to create the 3 digit VM boxes using the Voicemail Manager, and then in the Get Numbers module where the caller enters the voicemail box number just set it to wait for 3 digits - and then once the 3 digits were entered go to the voicemail box. The Voicemail Server demo script can be used - just change the number of digits it waits for from 4 to 3. See also attached script - it's essentially the same as the Demo Voicemail server - just change the sound file it is using. goto3digitVMB.vgs Share this post Link to post
