Dialcard Hangup When Otherside Pickup Phone

Our customer reported a problem they experienced several times. He said, when he heard the ring and picked up and say 'Yo!' phone was hang up. I looked at the log file. In 0725tw.txt:

Is it because dialcard thinks it's an fax machine and hangup? Is there a way to avoid this mistake?

We are using VoiceGuid 6.0.3386, card is D/4PCI-U (I copied this from configuration manager. Hopefully it's correct).

Tow logfiles (0725vgm.txt and 0725tw.txt) segments are put to end of message.

Traces confirm that Dialogic card reported hearing a fax tone on the line.

Suggest you try increasing the 'cadence' count for the fax tone definition, to reduce the likelihood of this happening in the future.

 

Tone definitions settings can be changed in VoiceGuide's Configline.xml file.

 

You can also try effectively turning off the fax detection by changing the frequencies that the Dialogic card listens for to something that is unlikely to be detected (high frequency for long time and high cadence number) but that would result in actual fax answers not being detected.

 

Determining of call answer type based on frequencies is not a 100% reliable method, and sometimes the frequencies that are present in answering persons voice will match different tone definiton.
