Guest Jaime Bados Report post Posted 02/22/2003 09:33 PM Hi, I live in Colombia and I have one D/4PCI card directly connected to Telco lines. I tried to configure it to detect Caller ID info but until now is impossible. Here in Colombia the Caller ID is sent in DTMF or FSK between the first and second ring, but the D/4PCI seems that only activates after the second ring. In any application that i run the card only responds after the second ring, no matters what i do, it always responds after the second ring includind when i work with the Voice demo sample that comes in the Dialogic 5.1.1 release, and never detects the caller ID info. Always rings two times an after it activates, no matters that the VOICEGUIDE application says that runs in 0 or 1 ring. Because of this i believe that I cannot receive the Caller ID info, which is sent between the first and second ring. Please tell me how I can put to work the card to detect the Caller ID. Can I modify some parameters in some .prm file for D/4PCI activates in the first ring? Can I modify some parameters in some .prm file for D/4PCI detects DTMF or FSK Caller ID info? Please help me with this issue. Saludos desde Colombia Jaime Bados Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 02/23/2003 01:25 AM Dialogic card only starts reporting Rings to VoiceGuide after it has completed its CallerID detection. It looks like your card is attemptiong to detect Caller ID between the first and second ring and then after that detection completes the Rings are then sent to VoiceGuide. As Caller ID is not reproted it looks like the card the way it is configured now cannot detect the Caller ID sent by your telco - you will need to ask your Dialogic distributor directly how to resolve this.
