cargoms Report post Posted 08/10/2011 09:57 AM Dear Support Officer We are testing the function of version 7 we face 2 issues at the moment It is windows 7 Professional 32 bit #1 When we try to stop the service. it give error message #2 We try to connect to oracle 10g, using microsoft ODBC for oracle, but give error, is there any specific connection string or any setup/format to follow ? Thanks Cargo MS 0810_1654_vgEngine.txt Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 08/10/2011 11:27 AM Not sure why the errors would be encountered at service stop time. Does the user logged on at the time have Administrator privileges? Regarding database connectivity, are you able to confirm from the Windows ODBC Data source Administrator that the ODBC connection works? Would you be able to use an Oracle ADO.NET provider instead? (NB. please .ZIP up any traces before posting them) Share this post Link to post
cargoms Report post Posted 08/11/2011 01:30 AM Dear Support Officer Thanks for your reply, let me zip up and send again, while, for the database connection, is there any sample Oracle ADO Connection String to test with ? Thanks Cargo MS Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 08/11/2011 02:23 AM The Data Provider that you download and install should have some information as to what format connection strings should be used with it. Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 08/11/2011 11:58 AM The error message with stopping of services will appear if the currently logged in user does not have permissions to start/stop that service. A workaround would be to start/stop the service using Control Panel -> Administratove Tools -> Services applet. Then stop/start the "VoiceGuide IVR" service. Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 08/11/2011 01:59 PM The ability of the icon tray app to starat/stop services may be affected by how the VoiceGuide software was installed. When installing ensure that you use Right Click and select "Run as Administrator". Share this post Link to post
cargoms Report post Posted 08/25/2011 08:26 AM Support Officer We reinstall using run as admin, also no good luck, but it can use services to start and stop. I attach the new full log for your review, the same problem with Oracle connection string, possible to provide some working sample ? Thanks Cargo MS log-0825.zip Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 08/25/2011 12:06 PM Have you tried using the and ADO.NET Data Provider for Oracle instead of using ODBC? Share this post Link to post
cargoms Report post Posted 08/31/2011 01:19 AM Dear Support Team We already resolve the Oracle Connection Problem, the only thing left is the stop service issue, we use run as admin to install, same result. Thanks very much Cargo MS Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 08/31/2011 02:05 AM To use the VoiceGuide Service Monitor in current version of VG under Win7 you need to be logged in as Administrator. Not a a user that 'is part of Administrators group' - the actual Administrator. To enable the Administrator account: Start-> Computer -> RightClick -> Manage -> Local Users and Groups -> Users -> Administrator Uncheck the "Account is disabled" entry From http://www.voiceguide.com/vghelp/source/html/install_v7_dialogichmp.htm: If not running as Administrator then you will not be able to stop and start the VoiceGuide service using the VoiceGuide Service Monitor applet from the icon tray.To stop/start the VoiceGuide IVR service you will need to go to Control Panel -> System and Security -> Administrative tools -> Services We already resolve the Oracle Connection Problem, Are you continuing to use the ODBC driver? If yes then what did you need to do to fix the connection? Share this post Link to post
cargoms Report post Posted 08/31/2011 02:43 AM To resolve OCBC issue, we install Oracle Driver for ODBC Share this post Link to post
cargoms Report post Posted 09/07/2011 09:11 AM We have a new problem We are going to activate the license, but when we launch license manager only show this ktTelDialogicSR60vista.dll: Any way to get the key/id ? Cargo MS Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 09/08/2011 05:55 AM Have you tried to run the License Manager 'As Administrator' ? We can see in previously posted traces that your Dialogic card's serial number is GM519082, so you can just include that in the online order form. Share this post Link to post
