Guest ddenara Report post Posted 08/12/2011 04:22 PM Is there a way to force G729 to be used on VOIP calls? Also, is there a documentation link to the VOIP call options settings? Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 08/13/2011 12:43 AM The codec that is used on the call is the first compatible codec from the list sent by the other party. To use G.729 the calling party must support G.729 and select it as their preferred codec, and HMP must have the "Enhanced RTP" license enabled to be able to use G.729 What other VOIP call options would you like to be able to set? Guest ddenara Report post Posted 08/13/2011 11:07 AM I was trying to understand all the options that can be set since I am often in situations where understanding the possibilities may help me be more successful with the solution. I was hopeful there was some general documentation that I could read and learn. Does something like that exist? How do you enable the "enhanced RTP" license? Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 08/23/2011 08:17 AM The "enhanced RTP" HMp license needs to be purchased form Dialogic. Once it is on the system the calls are established with G.729 as the preferred codec rather then G.711 Share this post Link to post
