Typing Text Or Selecting A Tts Txt File

Why can I sometimes write text for TTS directly in a module, and other times I have to create a text file?

example 1 "Play Sound File" lets me type in it.

example 2 "Capture Entered Number" makes me type into a text file first, and then select the file.

 

Only mildly frustrating, but it just seems a bit inconsistent.

 

Is there a reason for it?

You can specify a text file to be TTS'd in a "Play Sound File" module as well.

"Play Sound File" has the text box as well just to make it simpler...

 

In a "Capture Entered Number" module there are 3 different sound files which can be played and having a text box for each as well would make the screen a bit too cluttered...

 

In every place in VG where you can specify a sound file you may instead specify a text file and it will be TTS'd.
