How or where can I get information on how to integrate the DBS824 with the Voice Guide 5.1?

Do you wish to set up VG to correctly detect DBS824's Inband Signaling?

Yes, have. One things that it does not tell you is.

1. Install it on the extentsion and assign a extension port, or;

2. Install connection direct to CO analog ports for central office.

Which one do I connect them to, DBX Extension or CO lines.

VoiceGuide (the Dialogic card's ports which VoiceGuide controls actually) should be connected to the Extensions on the PBX.

 

CO lines are where you plug the incoming phone lines from the telephone company... you cannot attach Dialogic (or modem) ports to CO lines - it just does not work that way...

 

I want to use inband on the DBS824.

OK... how does DBS824 send Inband Signaling?

Understand. Not like a PBX voice mail integration. Whereas I would normally connect the voice mail ports to the PBX extension. On the Voice card (Dialogic/Modem Cards) they must be connected to the CO lines. (understood)

Can you point or send a link to the VG help file containing the inband setup signaling?

Just read the Inband configuration and setup on the VG on-line help. It wants to install a script. I will have to figure that one one.
