Guest Steve M Report post Posted 11/17/2003 11:53 PM Hi, I've spent all day trying to get VG 5.1.3 working with my Zoom External V92 voice modem (model 3049C) under Windows XP Professional. No joy. Everytime I make a call, the caller either gets no sound at all or the sound comes through the PC speakers. I've read the suggestions to delete/uninstall all the audio devices and install the modem first and I've done this several hundred times but still no joy. Is the modem compatible? I've also tried just disabling my sound card. Nope doesn't work. I've tried a second PC which has a similar configuration just a different sound card but still no joy. Can anyone help? Thanks, Steve Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 11/18/2003 12:11 AM ...setting up some voice modems can be frustrating... if the modem is answering calls under VoiceGuide control then it looks like it has been installed as a Voice-capable modem... you should check that the modem itself is actually voice capable (speak with ZOOM) - after all you can install voice-capable drivers for it which will make VG think that the modem is voice capable, but when it comes to using the voice features they will not work...
