Guest Guest Report post Posted 12/02/2003 12:42 AM Hi, I'm currently using Dialogics board and 4.x version of VoiceGuide. I'm trying to set up the "Send Pager Massage" module, but somehow it only dial the pager number, and it didn't seem to dial the message. Does anyone know how to solve this problem? =O I'm assuming that since I can do call forwarding, that means my VG Dialer option is good to go, because it can do outbound dialing, so I'm not exactly sure what cost this problem, can someone explain to me how will the system "dial" the digits specified in the Message text box under the "Send Pager Message" module?? =) An other question is in the User's Guide, under "Sound files" it stated that there's a directory \system\voicedlgc\ which are recorded in the PCM 11025Hz, 8bit, Mono format and those are the pre-recorded system files I need to use with my Dialogics card, but the problem is I can not find that directory, it only have \system\voice\ directory, which are no use to me. Did anyone run into this problem too?? and how can I get those files? or that directory?? Because I don't really want to convert all the voice files from \system\voice\ directory, and I can not use any default sound right now, (i.e. the beep before recording a message or any time when I want to let a user check what number they inputed.) Any help will be great!! Thanks!! Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 12/02/2003 01:04 AM Where did you get v4 of VG from? Sounds like you are just setting up your system - just download the current version form our WWW and use that version instead... current version does not require you to manually replace files etc for use with Dialogic, it's all included... I'm assuming that since I can do call forwarding, that means my VG Dialer option is good to go, Call forwarding does not use VG Dialer... are you using an evaluation version or a registered version of VG? What is the license type? Let us know in who's name/company is the license and I can also find what license type you have... Share this post Link to post
Guest Guest Report post Posted 12/02/2003 01:19 AM opps... I mean "Transfer Call" not call forward... ^^;; and we brought the V4.8.45 Enterprise, VG Dialer, 4 line license awhile ago, I'm doing upgrade to our system and the script. =) Can I still just download your current version and use it with my current code? As I don't really want to post my system ID and code on a public forum. Please let me know. Thanks. =D Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 12/02/2003 01:45 AM To use the current version you will need to purchase an upgrade (plz see the WWW order form). If VG Dialer is enabled then you should be able to use the Send Pager Message module. To obtain replacement sound files please see the links provided on: http://voiceguide.com/vgDownload.htm Share this post Link to post
Guest Guest Report post Posted 12/02/2003 02:37 AM Hi, yes that's the problem, my VG Dialer is enabled, and when I test the Send Pager Message module with a phone number it actual dial, but it doesn't seem to dial the digits that I specified in the Message text box. So I want to know how does the system dial the digits in the Message text box in order to help me solve this problem. Thanks. Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 12/02/2003 02:38 AM Could you please post a copy of VoiceGuide's Debug Printout which captures the problem, this will allow us to see what is going wrong. (When running the script click on VoiceGuide's View menu and select 'Event Trace Log' option - any log information will then appear in this window. You must open the trace window before making the call.) Share this post Link to post

SupportTeam Report post Posted 12/08/2003 08:33 AM The lines in log: 43156 6 tapie callstate DISCONNECTED 65818,16,0 43171 6 LsWaitAfterDialingOut EV_REMOTEPARTY_DISCONNECT indicate that some automated message was played on the line... When 94926087 is called, does it answer and is silent usually, or is there a message played on the line prompting caller to enter the page information? 2)Yes, the outbound call is beening make within couple of seconds, but the message wasn't send till after 30 seconds. Do you know anyway of fixing this problem? Trace shows that after call was answered the digits "4566657" get played within 1 second and that the call is hung up a few seconds later... if it takes 30 seconds for you to receive a page on the pager then the delay is caused by the pager company... 10531 6 tapic lineGenerateDigits(66253,4566657) => 0 11578 6 tapie generate LINEGENERATETERM_DONE 11593 6 TimeoutSet 1 EV_TAPI_GENERATE 12625 6 Timer fired EV_TAPI_GENERATE 12625 6 LsOutboundCall_NumericPager EV_TAPI_GENERATE 12640 6 TimeoutSet 5 EV_TIMEOUT_HANGUP 13968 5 Timer fired EV_TIMOUT_ATERIDLE_ALLOWOUT 18140 6 Timer fired EV_TIMEOUT_HANGUP 18156 6 LsOutboundCall_NumericPager EV_TIMEOUT_HANGUP 18156 6 Hanging up call... Guest Guest Report post Posted 12/09/2003 10:31 PM 1) 94926087 is a normal phoneline, I'm just using this to check when does the system send out the pager message, since my pager never ring. Eventually I want the system to call Telus's pager system, then when Telus picked it up, the system will just dial the message, so my pager will pick it up. 2) I'm sorry, but you misunderstood, the digits "4566657" is the message that I was trying to send to my pager, but since it never ring, so I changed the phone number to dial to a normal phoneline, so I can pick it up and listen to it, try to finger out what went wrong and also use a timer to time how long does it take for the system to dial the message. By my count, the system didn't play the message till after I picked up the call and wait 30 seconds. So now I don't understand is if the system played the message within 1 second and the call hung up a few seconds later, then why do I only hear the message beening played after I waited 30 seconds? SupportTeam Report post Posted 12/10/2003 01:09 AM The trace shows that the digits were dialed a few seconds after call was answered - not anywhere near 30... Was the trace for the same call? You may want to test the system a few more times - it's best to look at the trace log while answering the call... Share this post Link to post
