Using Sapi 4.0 Tts Engine

Hi all,

 

because I am having hard time in finding out a TTS engine SAPI 5.1 compliant speaking Italian language (Elan Tempo SDK is actually too expensive, and Babel InfoVox Desktop is SAPI 4.0 only compliant), is there any way to let the VG working with SAPI 4.0 TTS engines?

VG will work with SAPI 5.x only.

 

If you must use SAPI v4 then the only option is to write a small app (maybe some come with SAPI?) which will create a WAV file - call that app from a Run Program module - and then play that WAV file from VoiceGuide...
