Guest bemers2002 Report post Posted 12/15/2012 12:44 PM Hi, I want to buy a HP server ProLiant DL380 G7, with intention to use HMP as the option during vg installation, I have read some thread that the server must support HPET, before purchase of server, how do I know if it has HPET particularly if its not written on the box Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 12/16/2012 09:59 AM Most new serves have HPET. A testing application hpettool.exe to test for HPET comparability is provided by Dialogic. Please see the HMP Downloads page. Guest bemers2002 Report post Posted 12/16/2012 06:27 PM Ok thanks, I just installed HMP (two lines)and vg7 on my pc and I saw on the vg that the two lines are ready to receive calls, I want to setup the application on my pc first before i run same setup on the server. 1. is it possible to make a test call on the same single pc, I have x-lite and 3cx on the pc, or must i get another system locally connected to the vg pc before i can make a test call Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 12/16/2012 08:23 PM The SIP call to the system should be made from another system or SIP phone. Share this post Link to post

SupportTeam Report post Posted 12/17/2012 02:04 AM Would recommend using SJPhone : http://www.sjlabs.com/sjp.html With SJPhone you can just type in the destination IP address instead of the telephone number. Share this post Link to post
Guest bemers2002 Report post Posted 12/18/2012 10:33 PM we just setup and installed the dl380 server for use with vg7, and we installed windows server 2008 64bit, do you have any known issue with vg working well with 64bit systems before we proceed with hmp and vg7 installation... SupportTeam Report post Posted 12/18/2012 10:54 PM 64 bit OS is fine. It is best to run the HPET testing tool (HPETTool) to confirm the High Precision Event Timer is working before installing HMP and VoiceGuide. This would be to confirm that the High Precision Event Timer was not disabled in the BIOS. Guest bemers2002 Report post Posted 12/19/2012 07:18 AM ok, when i run hpetool64 on the server i got this "HPET is hardware & BIOS supported and is enabled on this system." I assume it means its supported, right? Do you have any updated script for chatline service or the link available on your site for the script is the only you have. I know we can modify to suite our unique requirement, but just asking if there is any newer chatline script... Share this post Link to post

Guest bemers2002 Report post Posted 12/19/2012 10:39 PM Ok, Now i have installed hmp, i test a call into it, I saw the exactly the screen mentioned in the online help, which shows the calls came into it, but i didnt hear anything (the demo app) Then i installed the vg, i saw the waiting for call for 2 lines and saw the inbound script as the credit card payment.vgs ok, but when I make the call into the IP sing the same sjphone, I saw the column (in/Out) changed to IN, on the line that the call came in, ok, but I did not hear anything still. When I hangup, i saw the time and date logged. Please why is there no voice coming out after the call is successfully made into the vg, Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 12/20/2012 12:26 AM Is there anything else installed on this system apart from Windows and HMP and VoiceGuide? Can you try temporarily disabling the Firewall? If you still encounter problems please post the ktTel trace file (please .ZIP it up before posting). Please also install WireShark and use it to capture a trace of the call. The post the .pcap trace file (.ZIPped) Share this post Link to post

Guest bemers2002 Report post Posted 12/22/2012 09:22 AM just a quick update, for whatever reason that i dont know now, the sound icon on the server says "no audio output device", and checked device manager, also really no sound device shown. This should be the reason why i cannot hear any voice when call is made successfully to the vg7, please confirm. I'm trying to check with the supplier of the server and also in the get a PCI sound card in the mean time Share this post Link to post
Guest bemers2002 Report post Posted 12/23/2012 08:26 AM Just to update, now I can hear vg application, I had to change the default IP on the HMP to use the server IP. The server has up to 4 IPs and the HMP defaults itself to a wrong one, so I had to change. I'm still investigating though, but i noticed that the voice doesn't speak at everytime i call the script, if i called 5 times, I wil hear the voice 2 or 3 times only (even though the script run ok at all time)... I noticed that when i called the HMP Demo app only, it does the same thing too, the voice comes out to my phone alternatively, somtimes it will speak sometime it will not speak... any idea where to look for the fault... SupportTeam Report post Posted 12/23/2012 08:45 AM The server has up to 4 IPs Can you simplify this server configuration so that this server only has one IP address, and try testing when only one IP address is set up. Share this post Link to post
