Guest Mikey Report post Posted 03/02/2004 05:26 AM Will VG 4.8.45 or 4.8.47 ( Updated ) work with SR5.1.1 and a dialogic d4/JCT-LS 4 port analog loop start card? I have tried this and sound only comes from speakers, not the dialogic card. Yes, I have tried uninstalling the sound card & wav drivers, and all it does is answer and hang up right away. I have re-installed one at a time, and reinstalled VG, SR5.1.1 and SP1 in every combination, did not work. Is there something I am missing? I would require Call transfer ( I seen a post that mentioned call transfer and Xp thats why I am mentioning this) Last but not least. Is there any way to figure out what disconnect tone, if any there is on the line? I will be using 4 VoIP gateways for this project, and I am not sure if there is a disconnect tone. When using analog lines ( and when it worked in the past VG would ) disconected immediatly. On the VoIP it takes 14 or so seconds, but doesnt seem to disconnect becuase of timeout on the script. I am thinking that the VoIP provider sends several disconnect tones as the remote party disconnected, and it still sees that this end is offhook? I just tried to call my self, and hang up the remote end, and the VoIP after 20 seconds goes to a fast busy. What freq. specs would I need to put in the dialogic settings to indicate that was a disconnect. Would that fast busy interfere with regular dialing for when there is a fast busy, or system busy on the line? Thanks. p.s. I will contact the VoIP service provider and ask them more indepth about what their hardware ( D-LINK DVG-1120M VoIP gateway) can do, ie line voltage drop, or give me tone sooner, 20 seconds is too long to wait. P.s.s Primus Canada is the provider, if you want you can get these units and take them any where in the world and call as if local to the city area code you pick, and have 2 other alternate numbers that will ring on your VoIP Gateway. uses G.711 protocol, can't even tell the difference from POTS/PSTN. Are the Dialogic Wave drivers listed in the list of selectable Wave drivers when you use the Control Panels "Sound and Multimedia" applet? would require Call transfer ( I seen a post that mentioned call transfer and Xp thats why I am mentioning this) Call transfers are ok under XP - turns out you just need to set an entry in the .PRM file for the card. You can just record the tone and then analyze freq/cadence with most sound editors. You will have to turn off silence detection when doing the recording.
