Guest IVR_Newbie Report post Posted 03/31/2004 04:44 PM I'm trying to install and configure D/240JCT-T1 on W2k Server. I believe I have followed all instructions on VG (indeed, before the D/240JCT, I have been working with D/4PCIU to get familar with the process and it worked okay for that analog card). I also get the 24 licenses for Enterprise+Dialer installed. I have set the rotary switch to '1' to set the ID. The Event Logs showed no errors but some warnings. The related event logs (in order) are: 1. The DM3Config service was started. 2. Dialogic System Service starting 3. CTBBAPI.exe 01.50 bld 3 (release). 0x20000000 : CTBB_ERROR_SUCCESS: Function completed properly. Exit value : 0x0. 4. (Warning) NCMAPI...UNCM_GetValueEx() failed. Genload expects either Dialogic RAM or no RAM at this address. This is not a problem on systems with no ISA BLT Dialogic Boards. Systems that do have ISA BLT Dialogic Boards, will need to have the BLTAddress setting changed to an address of a free memory resource. Also, the BIOS settings may have to be changed to reserve an address for ISA slots. System Download ........ Dialogic System Service stopped I could not even run Universal Dialogic Diagnostic (udd.exe). The program, as usual, prompts for confirming that the boards will be stopped, and then after proceeding to the next screen for about 2 seconds, it closes and ends (previously, the detected boards will be displayed.) Kindly advise how I should proceed to debug / complete the configuration. By the way, although I can start the board in DCM, the physical board shows red light, and also, under Controls Panel, even though the item D/240JCT is automatically detected, the box always says that no driver are installed. Many thanks! Share this post Link to post
Guest IVR_Newbie Report post Posted 03/31/2004 04:46 PM May I also add that I have tried to uninstall/re-install the System Release 5.1.1 many times without getting a resolution doing so. Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 03/31/2004 09:39 PM By the way, although I can start the board in DCM, the physical board shows red light, This is the first thing that needs to be fixed. Red signal means that the line which is plugged into the card is not carrying any T1 signal at all.. The board must show a green light which would indicate that it is synchronized with the T1 signal. You should check with the phone company providing the T1 to see if this line is carrying the signal at all... Next you should check with the Dialogic provider in your area which if the ISDN protocols you should be specifying in the DCM's "ISDNProtocol" setting. They would know best which protocol needs to be used for the T1 lines supplied by your phone company. What is the ISDN protocol on the T1 line? under Controls Panel, even though the item D/240JCT is automatically detected, the box always says that no driver are installed. The control panel entries can usually be just ignored - it's the DCM config which is important.
