health4us Report post Posted 03/02/2004 07:58 PM I would like to know the cost to upgrade the 4 line enterprise version with dialer to the same but with 8 lines please. I really need to expand to at least 8 lines but have a couple of questions. You mentioned before to use an E1 or smaller line however i have researchde these and they cost thousands per year so are totally out of the questions. I looked into using a IP telephone provider such as packet 8 but i can only get a max ADSL speed of 300kb upchannel so will only be able to use about 3 packet8 devices which is not enough. So my issue is the leased lines are just too too expensive and ADSL does not provide enough bandwidth. I would like to know what other options I have as am sure not everyone spends the 10k per year on a E1 line. What do other VG users do? Please if you can suggest me another alternative I should be able to upgrade. Thanks Matt Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 03/02/2004 08:55 PM To add another 4 lines you just need to purchase another 4 line license. Line selection really depends on the choices and prices available in your local area. It sounds like sticking with analog lines is the best choice for you. Share this post Link to post
health4us Report post Posted 03/03/2004 10:18 AM Ok, so you dont really have any suggestions... Do you know what other small companies do as am sure most cant afford 10,000 per year on one E1 line. What do the people use that use 128 lines with VG? I have decided to try out on of the IP phones and as such have moved VG to my PC with connection to ADSL in my Spain office so take it I will need to get a new reg code as obvioulsy i will not be using the UK system anymore and the Spain machine has a different network card. Please could you send the new code. THe system id is. m3b10 When configuring the dialogic card for use with the packet8 solution as its based in the USA do i set it up for USA or for Spain where I live? If so USA what setup options need changing from the standard dialogic USA settings please. Thanks a lot Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 03/03/2004 12:27 PM If you want to use analog lines that you can have 48 lines per PC using four 4 12-port cards (Dialogic D/120JCT cards). If you want to use more lines then that then you can just set up more PCs, with each PC controlling up to 48 analog lines. Email was sent regarding the code. Not familiar with the VoIP device supplied by Packet8 - but most likely you should set the Dialogic card for US, and will probably need to set the disconnect/busy tones manually in the Dialogic's TSP config.
